We are delighted to share the fourth annual release of The Approach Pinot Noir.
Offered exclusively in magnum format and limited to only five barrels, The Approach Pinot Noir is a blend that transcends terroir.
Our name for this release is derived from the aeronautical term for landing. This wine demonstrates how we intend to land the vision quest for Grail by Dan Kosta.
Unconstrained by geographic limits, the 2023 blend draws from all three of the finest Pinot Noir appellations in California: Russian River Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands, and West Sonoma Coast.
Pristine fruit from our longtime friends at Garys’ Vineyard, Campbell Ranch, Umino, Rudd, and Martaella Vineyards come together to create the elegant profile of this wine, which is aged 15 months in French Oak barrels.
This release is reveals remarkable depth and finesses, with structure to reward time in the cellar.
